The LUMS Energy Institute, in collaboration with the National Grid Company (NGC), Power Planning and Monitoring Company (PPMC), and K-Electric, is organising the 2nd National Consultative Workshop on the Power Sector Indigenisation Roadmap (PSIP) 2026.
Building on the first national consultation, the workshop will bring together key stakeholders, policymakers, industry leaders, and local manufacturers to explore opportunities to strengthen Pakistan’s domestic electrical and power equipment manufacturing capabilities.
Discussions will focus on demand and supply mapping, manufacturer readiness, and phased product development across renewable energy generation, transmission lines, and grid station equipment.
Through collaborative dialogue and industry engagement, the workshop aims to advance a practical roadmap for greater localisation, industrial capacity development, and a more self-reliant power sector.
