The Gurmani Centre for Languages and Literature invites you to a memorial gathering in honour of Dr. Arfa Sayeda Zehra (1937–2025), a distinguished scholar of Pakistan whose lifelong contributions to education, human rights, and the intellectual traditions of freedom and equality have shaped and inspired generations.
This gathering will feature reflections from Hajira Khan, Qasim Jafri, and Yasmeen Hameed, who will share their thoughts on Dr. Zehra’s profound intellect, generosity of spirit, and unwavering commitment to education and human dignity. The event will be hosted by Dr. Furrukh A. Khan.
The memorial is open to all her former students, colleagues, and admirers. We warmly welcome everyone who learned from her, worked with her, or was touched by her words and wisdom to join us, sit together, and share personal memories and reflections on her extraordinary life.
